I think the most important qualities for us to encourage in children are respect and the ability to have fun with their imaginations. Each child is different and it is up to us as teachers to help them explore who they are and who they will eventually become as they grow intoadulthood. If I can act as a guide for them to take that valuable step then I am more than happy. 
 
インターナショナルスクールで、子どもたちと関わりあいながら講師として働くにあたって最も大切なことは、子どもたち一人ひとりの個性を尊重し、創造性を使いながら日々の生活を楽しいものにしていけるようサポートしていくことだと思います。
それぞれの個性を伸ばしていくためには、私たち講師が手を差し伸べながら、それぞれの成長を見守っていく必要があります。そんな子どもたちの重要な成長過程に関わることが出来ることを、とても嬉しく思います。

Practicing English while having fun is the best way to learn, therefore it is important to provide students with many opportunities to express themselves in English. The classroom should be an encouraging place where students can feel at ease experimenting with the language.
As teachers, we should always encourage and guide them as they grow up and find out about their own interests. Regularly assessing the students' progress will also allow them to have a better sense of what they have learnt. Understanding the progress they have made will help them trust in their own abilities, and thus boost their self-confidence.

英語を楽しむ事が、言語を習得していく上で最も大切なことです。
レッスンでは、子ども達が自信を持って自由に英語で表現していける機会を提供し、
子ども達が少しでも興味を持って取り組めるよう促していきます。そして、定期的に子ども達の成果を評価してあげることが子ども達の原動力となります。子ども達一人ひとりのペースに合わせながら評価してあげることで、子ども達の実力となり自信となっていきます。

Raised in a family of teachers, education has always been a cornerstone of my life. For this reason, after graduating in midwifery I started a master's degree which allowed me to improve my teaching skills. I believe teaching children is one of the greatest privileges that I can have. A competent child who is educated and open to the world will build a better future and...we are here to “step into a brighter world” with them.

家族が教育に携わる仕事をしていた事もあり、「教育」は常に私とともにありました。

I grew up in a big, lovely family with many kids.
All of us were very special in our own way and had different personalities. This taught me to be patient and to love everyone as they are. Of course, all of us have a different way of studying, but what I really missed was having fun while learning at school.
I strongly believe that enjoying education and respecting everyone's personality are the most important things while teaching. As a teacher, there's nothing better than watching the students learn and improve day by day. And as a translator, I can really tell how important is to connect our worlds through languages!

私は、愛情たっぷりの大きな家族のもとで育ちました。もちろん、それぞれ違った個性や性格をもち、その家族のもとで育ったことで忍耐強く、そしてどんな個性でも受け入れることを学びました。
小さい頃から沢山のことを学習してきましたが、今振り返って一番思うのは、勉強がとても楽しかった事です。そのため、勉強を教えていく上で、子ども達が楽しく学習できているかということは、講師として一番大切にしています。
これから講師として日々の子ども達の成長を見守っていけることがとても楽しみで、また翻訳家（通訳）だった私としては、言語で世界とつながる楽しさを伝えていきたいと思います。

English has been deemed vital in modern society and has been integrated in schools so that students will have better opportunities in the future. As a result, this may lead to students’ disinterest in learning the language since they will see it as just another subject that they must pass. Thus, I believe that English should be perceived like any other language---a communication tool. Learning the language can be your metaphorical passport to connecting with people from all walks of life, understanding diverse cultures, and discovering new horizons. So let’s start building these meaningful connections and make new friends by studying English. Together, we'll laugh, learn, and unlock a world of possibilities!

英語は現代社会において重要な要素と捉えられ、学校教育にも取り込まれてきました。しかし、次第に「教科」として捉えられ始め、新しい言語の習得に対する興味が薄れていってしまったように感じます。しかし、英語こそが最大のコミュニケーションツールであり、他の文化や多様性を理解し、新たな世界を見つけていくためのパスポートだと思います。

Working with kids is a special art for me because it requires enthusiasm, patience, creativity, and interaction at the same time. I do not consider teaching as shaping kids what to do, it is orienting them towards the right direction instead. During the journey of learning new things and exploring the world, it is important to keep and develop their own values. I believe that English is a good mean for kids to perform themselves in a global environment and we are here to accompany them to achieve that. 
子ども達と共に過ごす時間は私にとって特別なことで、先生として働いていても熱意や創造力など様々な事を子どもたちから学ぶことがあります。一緒に過ごしていくなかで、決して子どもたちがやりたい事を制限することはなく、子どもたちがやりたい事を正しい方向へ導いてあげる手助けをしたいと思います。新しい事を知り、世界に視野を広げていくことは、自分自身の価値を上げていく事にも繋がります。子どもの頃からこのような貴重な経験をしていくためにも、英語は必ず必要なコミュニケーションツールになると私は思い、その英語を習得する手助けをここステップでしていきたいと思います。
